Roger Maris Gold Gloves.
Roger Maris was a professional baseball player who played for the New York Yankees from 1960 to 1966. He was known for his exceptional batting skills and his outstanding defensive play. In 1960, he won the Gold Glove Award for outstanding defensive play in the American League as an outfielder. He played 127 games in right field in 1960, committed only three errors, and won a Gold Glove Award. Maris was born on September 10, 1934, in Hibbing, Minnesota. He began his professional baseball career in 1953 with the Fargo-Moorhead Twins of the Northern League. He played for several minor league teams before being called up to the Cleveland Indians in 1957. He was traded to the Kansas City Athletics in 1958 and then to the New York Yankees in 1960.
Maris was a seven-time All-Star and a two-time American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award winner. He played in seven World Series during his career and helped lead the Yankees to three championships (1961-1962 and 1967).
